The class will introduce the stitcher to three-dimensional needlework, created sampler style on white, 18 mono canvas, sized 13” x 13”. It will be divided into nine 2½”-squares. One to three techniques will be presented in each square.

The techniques include: Wrapped Cording, Wrapped Beads, Casalguidi, Twisted Cord, Needlelace, Felt Padding, Canvas Appliqué, Self-Finishing Edge, and others.

We will use the following stitches: Rose Leaf Stitch, Detached Buttonhole, Raised Buttonhole on a Raised Band, Detached Weaving, Woven Picot, Packed Chain, Stacked Chain, French Knots, Tubular Ceylon, and others.

These techniques will be accomplished using water-soluble fabric, River Silks Silk Ribbon, Flair, Very Velvet, Lorikeet, Wildflowers, Memory Thread, Threadworx, Duchess Silk, Weeks Dye Works, Twinkle, Kreinik Iron-on Ribbon, Splendor, cloth-covered wire, and others.

Each Kit Contents: Stretcher bars, White 18ct Mono canvas, all threads, beads, embellishments, needles, & instructions.

Students to Bring: Fray Check, Scissors that will cut wire (Wire cutters usually do not work well on cloth-covered wire.) and the usual stitching supplies.
