Silk Thread Ordering
Blue Bonnet Studios sells threads marketed by the Japanese Embroidery Center (JEC) in Atlanta, Georgia and Midori Embroidery (ME) in London, England. Our prices for JEC threads are sold at a 10% discount over the prices at the JEC. Our prices for ME threads are lower than if one orders a small number of threads because we maintain a large stock to minimize shipping and insurance. However you can order from both sources at their respective websites: https://www.japaneseembroidery.com/ and http://www.midori-embroidery.com/.
The number of threads available (flat silk, metallics, twisted, imitation gold/silver, real gold/silver, couching, etc.) is so great with color/thread codes that change requires that we use the order form below. The form simplifies the ordering process and promotes an accurate shipping calculation. Once the form is filled out click on the submit button to send the order by email. We will check your order against our stock of colors to contact you if there are any questions. There are usually a few questions when ordering multiple threads: color choices, etc. Once the order is confirm we will send an invoice by email for payment by check made out to Blue Bonnet Studio, LLC (preferred); VENMO (preferred); PayPal or credit cards.
Please refer to either the JEC’s or ME’s website(s) as required by your order for the appropriate color/thread codes. There are simply too many threads for us to maintain the lists here.
How to fill out the form
Please enter you name, email, shipping address, and phone number. We will only use this information to ship your order and contact you with questions.
In the “Your Order” field list all threads that you want to order. Thread codes are found on the JEC and ME websites. We will assume that each code you enter will be one tube/packet of thread unless specified otherwise.
